Please, don't kid anybody (including yourself) by constantly trying to recite them/yourself that it's not just any food, it's actually rib eye steak or Dutch ice-cream or gods' ambrosia or whatever else makes your mouth water or rocks your boat. Today it may very well be the best steak you ever got, I'm not denying that. Sure, today it may be yummy. Next year though, it will turn into "oh, man, not the same steak again!". And a few years down the road it will be more like "geez, if I see this steak one more time, I'm gonna puke!".
Now, if you don't mind getting stuck in a no win situation or if you fancy feeling lonely with someone else by your side (which, if you ask me, is much worse then feeling lonely by yourself), well, go ahead, knock yourself out.
I know, it is so easy to fall in love(lust?) with someone for the first few months. Nothing (s)he does seems to bother you... at first. It will, later. It will, before it's all over with. Trust me, it gets old very fast, my friends. People change. You will change too as you go through life. That someone you think today you cannot live without turns into the same ol' same ol' tomorrow. Coming home to her/him every day will eventually lose its initial charm, it will become common place and nothing much to look forward to. Relationships turn sour more often than not. And so will you if you hang around long enough. Give it enough time and it will make you sour and bitter too and in the process it will bore you out of your mind. Up to you.
